One of the many names in print media released in the city of Adelaide in Australia is The
Advertiser. This is only local daily newspaper published in the said city. The paper is said
to own one of the highest circulations in Australia since its birth on July 12, 1858. Sir
John Bonython, who was then the sole manager for many years until 1929, made the
paper one of the most outstanding media releases in Australia. At the start, The
Advertiser made a closer focus on political issues for their editorials but also became more
conservative in its later years. This was later on continued by News Corporation in the
year 1990 which took over the supervision of the paper along with the merger of the
media, The News. This union did not last due to the loss of the latter in the circulation.
This was the reason why The Advertiser has shifted its market and became more like a
tabloid newspaper.

At present, The Advertiser is still known to being a part of the
daily readings of most Australians. The paper is circulated from Monday to Saturday which
presents up-to-date news from local to international reports, special features on Life, Food
and Wine, Employment, Money, Real Estate, 7 Days TV, Motoring, Out and About, The
Guide, and the Saturday Magazine. The Advertiser is also known to have a high readership
when it comes to its classified advertising. Making the entire week complete is the sister
publication of the paper which is The Sunday Mail. Much like the daily issues of The
Advertiser, this paper is read by a much bigger market since Sunday is a day to relax for
Australians. The Sunday Mail presents in the latest straightforward news whether in and
out of Australia. It also has updates on Sports, special features on Home, Motoring, has a
TV Guide as well as information on Real Estate. In general, The Advertiser is said to have
gained the trust of many South Australians when it comes to news and information. Being
the only local daily paper in Adelaide, the company caters to a wide market which they
owe honesty and integrity in delivering the news.
